Governor Radda Swears in Dutsin- Ma LGA Transition Chairman

Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has emphasized his commitment to continuity in local governance  in the state.

The governor announced that, his administration will not establish any caretaker committee for local governments upon the conclusion of the current council executives' tenure, assuring that "elections will be held for new council chairmen." 

Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, in a statement on Monday, said the governor spoke during the swearing-in ceremony of Kabir Abdulsalam Shema as the Transition Committee Chairman of Dutsinma Local Government.

He explained that the appointment was a response to the former transition chairman, Barrister Suleiman Namadi's affirmation as the State Secretary of the APC.

Congratulating Shema on his appointment, Governor Radda encouraged him to remain dedicated in carrying out his new responsibilities. Additionally, the governor called on stakeholders in the area to support the new chairman through prayers and valuable advice to enhance the repositioning of the local government.

The Katsina State helmsman acknowledged the wealth of leadership within Dutsinma Local Government, citing individuals like the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Usman Isiyaku, and the Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Bishir Tanimu Gambo, among others. He expressed confidence in their commitment and trustworthiness.

The governor's vision for local governance underscores the importance of a smooth transition process and collaboration among local leaders for the betterment of the community.
